Personally, I believe that society could be going in a good direction, but instead, it took a turn for the worse.
Individualism is great, and in my opinion, one of the best things to happen to Society; however it has not been used
the way that it could... should be used. I believe in a very independant set of beliefs and ideas. Of course, I get
critisized greatly because of it.

Thankfully, my parents support me in me finding my own beliefs, wether it differs from theirs or not. My parents are
Catholics, and I was too. However, I did not honestly look and pay attention to exactly what I was believing.
One day, I finally saw! I guess you could say that... my eyes were opened. After seeing what it was I was believing in,
I realized that I didn't agree with it at all! And so, with the support of my parents, I chose to follow a different religious
path... Non-Denominational Christian to be exact.

This is how I "differed" from everyone else. I still get critisized, even in my own school, for my independant beliefs.
I stand strong however, and will stand up for what I believe in. I will not standby if I am getting bullied, I will take action,
no matter what the school rules say. I respect others beliefs, wether they are gay, straight, or any sort of difference from other people in the world.

In my view, Society would probably turn out better if they weren't brainwashed by others. Stand for what you believe in,
and respect others own beliefs, whatever they may be!

In my school, as stated earlier, I get made fun of, and critisized. I do not just stand-by, or "tell a teacher" if this is the case, I show them that I will not stand-by. I will take action. For instance, one fellow, much bigger than me, was picking on me. He repeated this, I warned him if he didn't stop, I would stop it myself. He carried on, so I turned around and punched him flat in the stomach. I got in trouble with the school, but once again, stood for my beliefs, and refused to take any consequences of wat I did.

With my parents supporting me, and even a couple of the school teachers on my side, I fought the consequences, and ended up not having to serve my "consequences" for defending myself.

If only Society were just a little more like this...
